"Artists aren’t made, they are born", says designer Duane Bennett, the creative force behind Rêve Jewellery & Accessories. His natural talent and passion for creating fine art and jewellery manifested while he was a student at Jamaica’s prestigious Edna Manley College of the Visual & Performing Arts in Kingston, Jamaica. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree in the field of Goldsmithing under the tutelage of some of the best Goldsmiths in the Caribbean. It was while studying that he co-founded and launched Rêve Jewellery & Accessories in 2006, with business partner and sister Teasea Bennett.

Since then, Duane has garnered major local, regional and international awards. His achievements include the prestegious "Jamaican Avant Garde Designer of the Year" award. As well, Duane was the first GoldSmith to win the award in 2007 and was still the only Goldsmith winner when he won again in 2009.

Duane went on to capture the imagination of Jamaican audiences  with his infamous “RAGING BULL” COUTURE DRESS, designed for the Red Bull “Art of Can” Caribbean-wide competition. His prêt-a-porter and Rêve Couture designs have been featured by many local, regional and international media including Tyra Bank’s American Next Top Model, Cycle#19. Celebrity collectors of Rêve Jewellery include Kelly Rowland, Cherine Anderson, Nia Long, Queen Ifrica and Lance Gross.
